UnManned Fire Fighting Vehicle
Brief
The task was to design an autonomous vehicle for firefighters. After finalizing our research, the team concluded that pivoting to a remote-controlled robot would be the firefighters' safest and most practical thing. The area where firefighters need the most help is in industrial fires, where it is too dangerous to enter the building and left as a controlled fire.
Ideation
During our ideation, the team developed ideas to protect the robot from falling debris and moving obstacles out of the way. The final design is a robot with wings protecting the CAT treads and a battering ram that can move debris out of the way.
